I'm not sure of the number of commercial planes flying today but I can imagine the new technology required to prevent a reoccurrence of this kind of event is already available, and by extension the cost to incorporate this new kind of technology into existing and future planes will be monumental. To allay the fears of conspiracy theorists and commoners alike, lets hope the companies that stand to benefit the most, have no connection to the events that are currently unfolding...
