Said ------------ there was no dangerous cargo.



Unsaid --- what the cargo actually was.

777 has a payload around 70 tons ish.

If you allow 100 kg for a passenger (very generous) - give or take roughly you get 20 tons.

If you allow 30 kg for luggage each - again very generous -

you get give or take about 12 tons.

Combined - that gives you 32 tons.


That leaves around 40 tons at least for other cargo.

What was it?

I don't give a hoot if it wasn't dangerous -------- just what was in the cargo bay?


We could well be looking a plain old robbery here.


If a handful of English blokes can steal a whole train - why, could a couple of well trained blokes not steal a whole plane?

I have said before - if you can avoid the radar and tracking - this would be a doddle compared to robbing a train.


What a perfect time to do it.

Everybody on the planet immediately thinks terrorists, if not accidental crash.

Everybody on the planet is looking in the oceans or for possible airstrips.


It't just a plane ------------ all it needs is a big flat patch and a well trained pilot and it's down.

All you need is a few blokes on the ground armed and with cargo handling equipment and a truck or three and you are away.

If you could make this plane disappear - that would be the hard part --- the rest would be easy.

So, has it disappeared? Yes it has.
