gollum, it is naive to think that the media are mere messengers, they have their own agendas and know full well how they are able to mould and direct public opinion. Those in power are also well aware of this and use it as just another tool. Saying not to blame the media "in this instance" indicates that you do believe that there are instances when indeed the media are to blame. How do you differentiate between those instances where they are to blame from those where they are not?
