It is easier for Novartis to market the treatment as a complete package, rather than getting the patient to go to multiple service providers, so they bundle the scans with the treatment. Hence the reason why they buy vouchers from RHT.

Because patients come from all over the globe, Ferriscan must be made available in many various diverse locations. This helps Novartis or the pharmas in their marketing when the companion scan is available widely.

You would think that with Novartis latest approval, you guys should be jumping for joy instead of complaining. Ferriscan's continued growth is dependent on how well the pharma's do with their new treatments which incorporates the scan as part of the treatment. So in a sense, it may be useful to track the sales of exjade and any other drug using Ferriscan as a companion.

Which is why it all begins with the clinical trials, then moving on to clinical use. And the reason why you need to be patient because this things take time. And also the reason why spending huge money on marketing Ferriscan is not optimal because the pharmas are already doing it for you.

Having said that, they could certainly do better with their communication.
