There we go again … more flaming … you just can’t help yourself.
No critical evaluation of what Trump says he’ll do and how it could backfire on America and globally.
You either sit with the status quo of a globally dominant democratic west and the best and worst of its values.
Or you bite the hands that have fed you and your forebears and through the false prophet Trump empower the likes of Putin, Xi and a growing bloc of despotic regimes to increase global dominance and take what comes as a result. Will your children and grandchildren look glowingly on your grave?
For many of the West’s foibles, there have been peaceful and lasting outcomes … the British Empire grew then contracted by handing back sovereignty, leaving behind positives of governance and laws … Hitler was stopped in his tracks … stumbles have included mismanagement in the Mid East for decades, culminating currently in being unable to reign in Israel’s overreach with Palestinian citizens.
Have you not been listening to Xi’s rhetoric about the coming century of rightful Chinese rule, with a history of subjugation and extermination … ditto Putin’s vision for the Russian Empire … Two men, Xi and Putin, with what amounts for the West to be unpleasant visions for a global future.
Trump is a hapless, narcissist with no global understanding … a showman, a malevolent force able to sway masses.
As things stand, Trump looks to be headed for a second Presidency, and there is not much to be done apart from trust in American democracy to rail against what I see as inevitable outcomes and turf him and those that would follow in a similar vein.
