RDF announced something a while back regarding speed monitoring on the Hume. This may have been what you heard.

A mate a mine moved to Vic about 2 months ago, he has 1 point left. I cant understand why, but he wants to move again.

I can understand that red light cameras could cause accidents with ppl braking hard when they shouldn't, but speed camera's, surely people will slow down gradually as they approach them and not clam on brakes. But then again I did try to drive around Vic once, and never again I tell you.... LOL
