hillgrove goes it alone on kanmantoo project, page-33

At US$3.36/lb, with cash costs of $1.50, and capex less than A$100m - you don't think anyone was interested?

King, I am not sure what you consider to be buoyant conditions for copper mining. But it doesn't get much better than this. Miners who have been around for a while DREAM of prices like this.

When Hillgrove were talking about getting a JV partner, critics said: "well, if it such a great project, why don't they put their own money into it".

And now, when copper prices are sky high, and Hillgrove is cashed up and so CAN fund it themselves, critics say "no one wants the project."

    Sheesh - You can't win!

I see going it alone as a bullish sign of a strong metals market, a strong financial position such they they DON'T NEED a partner, and a bullish outlook of a likely cash 'top-up' in the near future.

But I guess others will see it differently.

    Y
