hints at solar not human cause for warming, page-19

The gas with greatest greenhouse effect is water vapour; according to some reports over 95%.

A clear night in the desert is cold; heat radiates straight out. A cloudy night is warmer.

But also clouds reflect solar radiation; heavy cloud cover leads to overall temperature drops.

I remain on the side of the sceptics (NOT deniers) on global warming.

Yes, carbon dioxide levels are increasing. Man made? Possibly; what proportion?
Affect global warming? Possibly; what proportion compared to water vapour?

El nino appears to be moderating. This should lead to some cooling. How much global effect is caused by ordinary fluctuations like this?

Also - sunspot cycles, Earth wobbles, cosmic radiation ...

Question - how much greenhouse gas is released by an average volcanic eruption?

Question - how much does land clearing affect carbon dioxide absorption/emission?

Yes, it DOES appear that we are going through a global warming period right now. Is it a normal phenomenon? Will it reverse as a natural cycle? (Don't forget the fear of an ice age in the late 60s early 70s).

    Having said all that -

Pollution is (almost certainly) NOT good. Reduction of smoke/gas emission is a sound aim.

Land clearing without reforestation is NOT good.

Apart from all else, we're running out of oil. This will have some effect on the above - but could lead to more coal burning to generate electricity to replace oil as "fuel".

Question - can nuclear power be generated economically (yes) and safely (maybe).
