Hi there, I understood that there were advanced discussions last year with a South Asian steelmaker to partner on the project, but unfortunately that country got hit massively with COVID and it derailed the process.
My other theory is that they were stung by a Chinese partner in the past when going for the 24mtpa operation and are reluctant to seek a Chinese partner again, which narrows the field down.
Nonetheless it's a good question - one worth asking the company.
