James, the purpose, just for example like cooking the books, is to make it look like you're better than you are due to perception of still playing on the same level field. They get physically better/stronger, everyone thinks it's due to reasons inside the rules, that reason is Dank, his fees go up and he gets accolades as the best sports scientist in the game, simple really James. The same reason you didn't question how in one summer all your players put on visible extra muscle mass across the entire list! Just assumed it was legal and that Dank and the weapon were geniuses

Your last sentence is the telling one. just look at Heppel. A spindly body a la Daisy of Collingwood pre the programme. Look at Heppel and compare him to Daisy now. And Hird was trying to catch Collinwood with his programme. Collingwood must be amateurs.
