WELLINGTON Capital boss Jenny Hutson, once again curiously clad in a red leather jacket, must have been worried about a hostile reception.

Hired security guards with hand-held metal detectors busily scanned dozens of elderly investors before they were allowed to enter a meeting yesterday at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Originally called to dissolve Wellington's loss-making Premium Income Fund, the meeting was adjourned until next week.

More than 10,000 unit-holders will vote to wind up the embattled fund and sell the remnants to a new entity, Asset Resolution Ltd.
