The Japanese slaughtered 300,000 Chinese in Nanking alone - not in the battle, after they had taken Nanking they executed hundreds of thousands of civilians - women and children. That's about twice ans many as died as a result of the atomic bombs - in nanking alone! They were as bad as the Nazis.

More people died in the Pacific war in the fight for Okinawa than died in Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined. You can disagree with the tactic but you can't argue with the result - the atomic bombs dropped on Japan saved hundreds of thousands of lives - most of them Japanese.
