    @rabbitoh @Hanrahan To clarify, I'm not defending the action of the Japanese during WW2, nor do I doubt that many Japanese civilians supported their armed services. Rather, I want to know if @Confused Share Trader 's claim that "The Japanese swore an oath to die for the Emperor" includes civilians.
