Did you make an explicit affirmation in writing to approve your government's invasion of East Timor? Do you approve of freeing the Timorese from the shackles of an oppressive occupier?

We, as a nation approved and conceptually the Indonesian people had a right to extract vengeance on us had they been able.

All I am saying is that citizens are responsible for their government's actions. If you don't approve vote against it. If that doesn't work take to the streets. If that doesn't work, if you feel strongly about it RIOT. Just don't be a wimp and claim to be innocent when your government has stuffed it up and suddenly you are in harm's way. It was YOUR government that did it.
