gold found at depth

i was just reading the Nickelore annual report of 2005, where, drilling for nickel on the bardoc mining centre ground (now AXY ground) they hit some deep intersects.

prospect :

Nickel Target ........ depth 242 metres _________ 3m. @ 4.4g/t
Nickel Target ....... " 170 metres _________ 4m. @ 5.4g/t

Marmont ............. " 200 metres _________ 4m. @ 9.9g/t

Ajax ................... " 286 metres ________5m. @ 15.7g/t

i reckon that the Marmot intersection at a depth of 286 metres really points to the need for some deep drilling.

it all suggests to me so far that the old timers possibly left most of the gold intact. especially as drilling over the years by different prospecting co's hit gold below the previously mined pits.

early days for AXY no doubt yet old reports indicate that the Bardoc mining centre ground could easily build to a jorc of 1m. ounces by end of 2010 as the co. has expressed their intension of doing.
