So what would be the chances of getting a pod over Christchurch in the next few days. Weather forecast is fine on Thusday, Saturday and Sunday.

The thing about acquiring significant historical coverage is the information will be accessed for years to come.
Accessed by all levels of government, engineers, architects, scientists, students, the lady across the road and googlers all over the world.
One of the keys to this is people either knowing that the coverage is from nearmap or accessing it from a 3rd party (news source) or using search sites like google. (A search of "brisbane floods" on google images gets nearmap coverage via the abc websites before and after graphics but along way down the page.)

Nearmaps link with Sensis and their New Zealand customers would suggest that they will be adding NZ to the coverage portfolio so now would be a good time to help New Zealanders come to terms with the extent of the disaster.

Our thoughts are with all those affected in Christchurch.
