Lets start by saying that I largely agree with all your points being currently true, but I still believe that the many failings of the company could be mostly fixed by installing new leadership after a hostile takeover. This is what makes such a move desirable, the chance to add value by making the obvious changes that the current leadership cant, wont or are not strong enough to make.
1. Restructure salaries and bonuses to fair and reasonable market rates based on performance. If staff leave they leave.
2. The Eli relationship may be valuable to somebody.
3. Appeal or no appeal, revenues from Axiron will probably last years, albeit a lot less than today.
4. Re-invigorate pipeline.
5. Inject new ideas and introduce proper accountable project management.
6. New team and alliances for doing marketing.
7. Better utilization of facilities.
8. One management for two companies after merger.
9. Dispensing through the skin is useful for many people who cannot ingest drugs due to chronic health issues of various kinds.
Maybe I am living on hope, but I think there is a chance.
