No direct generics for Axiron at present, although there are plenty of generic gels already.
my take - the reason why we have not yet seen an entry: is either because applying the drug in a form and application to the underarm is harder than it first looks/sounds (ie technology / know-how barriers)
OR
the players are waiting for the court ruling before jump in (legal barriers)
OR
the market is not growing and not considered attractive enough to pursue (market attractiveness / competitive rivalry barriers) ...
OR
they are working on an entry right now with an announcement imminent
