I think it has dumbfounded investors full stop! appears to be well out of kilter given current status of the company and pipeline!! BUT as they stated (quite vaguely) the bonuses are based on internally KPI's and not influenced by outside events (which I guess means SP and legal actions and anything else that one would expect to impact on bonuses but not here!). all closed shop!!!
for all we know KPI's could include turning up for work and sticking to allowed breaks!!! who knows but the table posted by stardestroyer (i think) showed quite clearly the huge wage/bonus increases received from the prior year and yes as you state "what achievement" could possibly have earned them that??
