In hindsight the scoundrels would have been better off letting Russia in and screw them over via bribery etc.. divide and conquer etc.. but I suppose they thought it might be too difficult due to the knowledge off the KGB etc...with their safe guards.
Now things are very transparent China and Russia both know uSA is about screwing the over and others. I think it is a breath of fresh air.
People with a brain should be able to adapt evolve as humans do.
I do not think Russia is a supe power, but it has its advantages, is a point of difference and is important with China and BRICS
