    I've heard about this shortage of 'physical' for years.
    Can you provide some evidence?
    The Iraqi govt bought 36 tonnes the other day and the price of gold went down, so doesn't seem there's a shortage to me.

    In addition worldwide gold production is increasing by about 300 tonnes pa.
