    I am not a chartist but I do respect the views of the posters on this thread.

    I cannot come to terms with BHP reaching $25 within the 3 month time frame some posters have postulated.

    I don't have profound knowledge of Elliott waves but logic would tell me that for a stock to have finished wave 5, its profits would have also peaked or about to do so. In the case of BHP profits are not likely to peak for another 12 months at least so my guess would be that we're about to enter wave 5.

    A cursory look at the monthly MACD from 2003 shows the first 4 waves distinctly but wave 5 is a little fuzzy at this point.
