I understand your reference to the Number 9 being symbolic in a positive way to the Chinese, but what relevance is that to the cause and effect re 1929 vs 2009 in the share market.
Do you have a list of all the largest Down days by percentage? I'm sure 1930, 1931, 1932 would appear a few times in that particular list as well, since the Dow's performance (respectively) was -34%, -53%, -22% in those years.
