Looks like we might be able to add what was pointed out as a difference between 1929 and Today "Closure of Barriers to Trade" as now a "Similarity between 1929 and today", if Obama's Bill gets passed:
US-EU trade war looms as Barack Obama bill urges 'Buy American'
The prospect of a trade war between the US and Europe is looming after "Buy American" provisions were added to President Barack Obama's $820 billion (£573 billion) stimulus package.
The similarities are narrowing there are now only 3 differences being:
1. Decrease in Money Supply vs. Government Bailouts
2. Gold Standard vs. $US
3. Lack of Government Spending (this is yet to be proposed - time will tell)
