    re: hit 7.7///some reasons offered morrijo,

    some reasons for the ongoing activity in scigen could be due to:

    (1) the annual report mentioned launch of Scilin in the Philipines in November 2005. see my post of 3.11 (below):

    +++"Recent activity wtih scigen has centred on commercialisation deals with China re: its hep B vaccine. Shouldn't overlook fact that company has a number of products including Scilin (a second-generation recombinant human insulin - used for the treatment of diabetes). Scigen has already executed commercialisation agreements for the major markets in the Indian Sub-Continent (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka).

    In their recent annual report the company wrote "health registration achieved in Philipines" and importantly that product launch is expected in November 2005.

    One to watch...

    Pol"+++

    (2) the report also mentioned likely developments and expected reults of operations, that is,
    (a) "SIE is intending to expand into regions other than those where it already has a presence and has executed agreements with several parties in China, Europe, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

    (b) "SIE is continually looking for oportunities for new products and technlogies to add to its product portfolio."

    (c) "increasing its sales"; "reviewing reduction in operating costs"; "moving towards manufacturing of its own products"

    (3) could simply be day-trader activity

    (4) since the annual report we now know that Bioton has further increased its share-holding in SIE to 45% give or take.

    definitely more on the horizon with scigen...

    Cheers
