Comment: UBS raised its price target for food group Burns Philp to $1.15 after the company delivered a half-year profit result 13 per cent above the broker's own forecast, due to lower-than-expected input costs and greater cost savings. "The core Goodman Fielder businesses are performing well, cost saves are coming through as expected by management and we believe earnings will be supported by a favourable commodity cycle," UBS said.
