I think that we don't know that yet Luxury. Currently, a lot of speculation for sure but I suspect over the next few months the true nature of the variant will be known.
I don't think panic is called for but I doubt the new variant can be dismissed out of hand at the moment.
One thing is for sure - any Biotech involved with COVID research will at least get a short term benefit in regards to their respective SP's - not a guarantee of any success but of market forces.
