I am a bhpbilliton shareholder and an ex employee due to a joint venture.
I have just recieved the prospectus for bhp steel and religiously read it from cover to cover, to see if I want to keep the shares I am being offered (1 for every 5 bhp) and if I want to buy more or sell my issue.
After reading the advantages and disadvantages I have decided to keep my issue and am considering how many more I am going to buy, so YES I believe it is a good buy for a blue chip australian company, the biggest downside is the world cyclic steel prices.
