You will find that CBA data is all due to people stocking up on pharmacy supplies, hand sanitisers etc. CBA card data is mostly a retail indicator.
Like I said covid-19 testing is not going to offset the losses in routine pathology.
People are simply putting it off. Telehealth consults patients will get a referral form, they will not be going in to get their blood collected if its not critical.
Queesland Medical Laboratory (QML) which is the QLD business of Healius shutting up to 80% of their collection centre due to the volume downturn for an extended period, how long that lasts, no one knows. Another 50 rooms shut this week in QLD alone.
It will eventually recover, but the bottom is not there yet.
