Leasing a space is easy, getting the equipment in from Europe will take many month. This is before getting it worked up, validated and signed and approved by NATA. Its not going to happen as its not the business model. Hub and spoke is what works for pathology.
If you read today's announcement, its clear Healius is lobbying the government to get a handout. Pathology Australia is already in senator's ears. That is the only saving grace and I hope it happens otherwise, a whole raft of jobs will be lost.
