When it rains the pressure is off our pathetic govts to push for new dam infrastructure.. When in drought they say why build dams when there is no rain. How can you argue with that logic.? And the rba says we need infrastructure projects,so what do all govts do,they build roads.I don't hear people generally conplaing about the quality of our roads,I hear plenty complain about water prices,the cost of food due to drought and the obvious export opportunities lost because we don't capture and store cheap water. ps wild life also complains because we don't build them dams for times of drought and lets include water access for bushfires. Nope just build roads.
