They need to look at the manager's style eg not just get every growth manager tipping their favourite tech stock. Invite a few value managers and maybe some experts in mining, energy etc for a bit of balance.
It sounds like they just looked at who performed well in recent years and unsurprisingly it was the tech bulls because the falling interest rate environment and lockdowns favoured that. Change the conditions now and they go from the top to the bottom.
CIO dedicates much of the weekly report talking about golf and other trivialities.
Having said that I'd consider buying at a big discount to NTA if they started buybacks and showed some change of investment strategy and diversification as above.
