For those interested, one shareholder has started a petition at change.org to have John McAuliffe stripped of the Order of Australia medal awarded to him in 2008 for service to the community. For those who would like to sign it the link is below.
According to the constitution, an Order of Australia award can normally only be rescinded if the recipient is convicted of a crime such as a breach of the Corporations Act. While we are waiting for that conviction, the Attorney General has discretion to make that decision as he / she sees fit.
This petition will also help to gain publicity and raise awareness for our cause.
