The "games" at pre-open and during the 400 - 410 closing auction happen on every stock. I dont think it automatically means accumulation. Just folks wanting to try and influence the outcome of the open or close price or use the process to jump the bid/offer queue


Its also worth noting that comparing the size of the buy / sell sides in volume terms isnt really like for like. As the price is much lower the $$ value of these orders is a lot lower than the same vols would represent when the SP was in the 40s / 50s.
