Crackpot to clarify. I know that the retail brokerages can place an order in the manner you said but they do it in their umbrella of having a bulk annual fee and can buy any trade however small they like without paying extra fees.
But how the ASX decipher it is very grey and a private trader regardless of if he is paying fees is not allowed to place such trades without eventual query.
I would love to be enlightened differently but I have paid dearly tothe contrary.

I suggest anyone with queries rings all 4 of our largest banks and the ASX and asks for an explanation, I reckon that the way it is done is very unfair to the private investor.
