well, if it were me - I would put the premiums through the roof - or not insure them at all.

Why would you take such a giant risk?

To me - it's only a matter of time before they lose a building and people - ?? how can it not be?

I don't know how far AJX is across this yet with products - but, it is a huge thing - seems to be all over the world.

When the last Dubai one went up - I think from memory (don't hang me on the accuracy of this) - that up to a certain percentage of building covered in the sus. cladding - the insurance companies would cover - but, over a certain percentage - they wouldn't take the contract at all - that means some building would be uninsurable.

Now - that's a hell of a risk - particularly when you are sitting on a torch waiting for a light.

I have never seen anything like this - it really beggars belief - I have no idea what will happen - but, it well may be far too big to just sweep under the rug.

One tragedy and the whole game will change - insurance companies will just shut the book I guess - or the premiums will go so high, no one will be able to afford it.

I really can't see a way around it unless they replace all the dud stuff - I could be wrong, but I don't see how you can coat it with something ---------- would be like coating acetate film - no matter what you do - the film is still underneath.

I really don't know - but, only seems like sense to me.

If we have something ready to go and cheap --------- we could be in with a big chance.

Cash for cladding anyone?
