Fair enough Skip, but I'm just sick of people popping onto this forum intermitently and saying all gold bugs are doomsdayers/end of the world/conspirary theorists. I find it immensely insulting as it has very little to do with why I invest in gold mining companies.

In some ways your right, gold does nothing. In another way your very mistaken. It holds its value. It is the currency in which it is priced that changes value. In a period of currency devaluation which I believe we have entered, it protects from a loss of purchasing power. So I say what is wrong with wanting to protect your purchasing power?
