By looking at different methods and confluence of indicators that demonstrate a similar theme, then risk is reduced. We all like to buy low and sell high and get on the coat tails of those with more market power.

The appetite for risk varies with people. Some like to enter after a 20% rise and use stops. Position traders on the other hand like to mop up in stage 1 of a money flow represented by Weinstein analysis.

The Elliot wave time frames are indicated on the chart, but it depends as we all know on when brokers decide to mark up an undervalued stock following market tests.

Thank You DavidW for your courteous and considered reply . I am a newbie at technical analysis ( normally focus on the fundamentals ) so any knowledge I can gain from hot copperites is most welcome . And despite being insulted as a snotty little brat by Melburn ( I'm almost 80 ! ) I shall refrain from striking back ! But those sort of comments add nothing to genuine discussions on this forum .
