Hunan Nonferrous Metals Company "Goes Out"

A cathode copper production line with a yearly production capacity of 10,000 ton works through, producing the first batch of 99.95% cathode copper. This is an encouraging result of "going-out" strategy adopted by Hunan Nonferrous Metals Corporation Ltd, a Hong Kong listed company and subsidiary of Hunan Nonferrous Metals Holding Group Co, Ltd.



The oxidized ore project is one of the cooperative subprojects between Hunan Nonferrous Metals and Australia Compass Resources NL, which mainly exploit and develop the nonferrous metals such as copper, cobalt, nickel and lead. Two years ago, Hunan began with its "going-out" strategy and selected Australia as its pilot zone. Compass project is the largest mineral project of Hunan and one of the large-scale investment projects of China in Australia, and also a key project of the federal government of the Commonwealth of Australia.



Besides the Compass projects, other cooperative projects of Hunan Nonferrous Metals also enjoy good prospects. For instance, it has become the holding company of Abra Mining Limited£¬so that the abundant mineral resources including lead, silver, copper, etc. can be exploited and developed.



Moreover, Hunan Nonferrous Metals has reached a cooperative intention with the China Investment Co. Ltd that China Investment will grant more investment to Hunan Nonferrous Metals in Australia to develop mineral projects including Compass etc.
