IMO, taking up the offer at 2.5 cents is worth the risk versus 3.5 cents buying on market,
HNR entitlement offer = 100,000 shares at $0.025 = $2,500
Buying HNR on ASX = 100,000 shares at $0.035 = $3,500 + $20 brokerage
Therefore, based on applying for 100,000 shares in the entitlement offer it is $1,020 cheaper per 100,000 shares if you are eligible.
If you are applying for 100,000 extra shares in the shortfall scenario, you risk either not getting any extra shares because it is fully taken up or you are scaled back to a lower amount. Also, a refund on not getting extra shares may take weeks to be credited to your bank account?
I am happy to risk $2,500 for a few weeks to potentially make up to $1,000 profit if the share price is $0.035. Even better if the share prices climbs to $0.04 with all business conditions being achieved.
