Hey all...
I spotted KOG before it did an IPO and I must admit I was thinking about buying in for the IPO...
I was particulary attracted to the attached options which should be listing shortly......
I was warned off the stock, and only now do I really understand why....
Name me one stock that has successfully achieved in Onshore US, and I can name you 10 that have not...
All the acerage has been picked over and over again....
look at FAR's recent discovery, it has done nothing for the SP...
TEX had 5 successes out of 7 results, look at that one...
AKK has had 17 successful oil and gas discoveries IN A ROW....
WHN has recently made entry...
NWE failed there...
what about--->GOM on/off shore..with LIO, ETE, GLX, AMU. AMU & LIO
my mate said "Take a look at one of the more successful GOM companies AMU, and they struggle !"....
From my experience with this sort of drilling, its all just a hype play... its not investing material...
IE, Yes there will be successful wells, the SP will shoot...
it will eventually come all the way back down and then some...as companies struggle to remain cashflow positive...
Yogi predicted that KOG will be raising further funds which suggests there will be successful wells, but the extra funds will be required to develop and get assets into production...
The one thing Kilgore does have, is a portfolio of wells to be drilled in the near term.....
So my overall sentiment is this may initially perform, but it wont over the long term...almost guaranteed...
