Turns out Joe Hockey let slip possibility of removing Dividend Imputation just like he did to open up idea of using Superannuation money for housing. The slip probably made a few extra people jumpy and the market was affected couple days ago and as a consequence MPL and other share prices were affected. Some politicians are so ego driven& irresponsible in other ways which might potential protect their beloved budgets but have intended or unintended consequences when they make some "suggestions" which they must already know if implemented will be political suicide..
