What the parents did or did not do is completely irrelevant to obligations of Dutton, now Karen Andrews (Minister) and Michael Pezzullo (Secretary, Home Affairs) to provide timely medical care for their 3 year old prisoner.
The status and age of a prisoner is also irrelevant to the obligation of providing timely and appropriate medical care to that prisoner.
At a moral level, doing this to a 3 year old who was born in Australia is unforgivable. Completely unforgivable.
