I may have been "rambling", in a way just pointing out the many things, past and present that affect economies.
Venezuela has the largest pool of oil in the world..... Iraq has lots oil as well..... are their economies in trouble because of evil "dictators", evil "socialism"???
If Trump mismanages the US economy (the world's leading economy) that will create problems for the rest of the world. More relevant IMO, is the deregulation of the banking has resulted in a world-wide escalation of debt
With reference to Obama, I think some spending is out of his control, even as it will be with Trump.
Much of the personal debt in Australia is tied in with the real estate bubbles, tied in with banks dropping standards, not Govt. spending.
