This is sure as hell playing right into IKL's hand.

The real cost to them is a lot more than the 55c due to the drop in the US$ since. I reckon they only want the technology as part of a larger plan along the lines Bello has mentioned but they want it badly.

Trouble is as you point out, they have the blocking stake and who is to say they are in a hurry. They could just let this drag on, accumulating along they way and mop up at 50-55c. These guys are smart cookies and there is absolutely no indication that they have Aussie shareholders interests at heart.
