I'm not advocating, just asking a question. if the virus cant be stopped, then what? has anyone given a thought on what government policies may be enacted as to who the winners or losers should be in the case of an unstoppable virus . not something I'm looking forward to?

Makes you wonder though how much more advanced we would be already if these two had of already had a better control on themselves ?

The whole country nearly had this eliminated within it shores .

Just some complacency and poor management has put the lot a risk again .

This happens on a daily basis the risk management of Australia from disease and viruses of both human kind and and fauna and flora .

Its even there as we speak the quarantine measure for many things in this country .

The fact it is humans that cant seem protect themselves from a new virus that is highly contagious is not the most fore telling thing as a intelligent species for any of our other protections ?

Anyway being a pariah state now perhaps others will make the decision we could have been in a very good position internally in this nation as we are for many of our products in the world .

Sure there is many factors involved . One is we had a position of strength that we could endure from an many have had make huge sacrifices to do so .

Wehter you agree or not with the measures taken it was human error and complacency that has now effected that effort .

Bloody shame really .

But its certainly not a time to give it all away thats for sure . imo

They put the whole country backwards and all that effort now to be the only state the rest of the country wants nothing to do with as a whole till they get themselves sorted !

Bloody shame they didnt contain their borders in the first place like the rest of the country did and perhaps we would not be in this position and the position now New South Wales is in having to do so .

Lets not forget it could be a different virus or illness we would have deal with and currently we nearly did it .

We know it comes from overseas and now it keeps stemming out of Victoria into other areas .

Whats happened In Victoria is an example of what complacency has done to the rest of the countries efforts .

This stop start will spread into industry if its not contained and well will have the same effects of closure etc happening like it has now when outbreaks happen lead to the closures of business and industry .

All an opinion in how its taking shape now and the efforts the direction has taken so far .
