The way I see it:
Long term holders = ok with these small fluctuations as the fundamentals of the business haven't changed and you are investing your money in this now so the future you can give yourself a descent return.
Short term holders = sweating the fluctuations and rushing to validate their TA or pulling out as it doesn't fit into their short term hold strategy.
Everyone is in this game for their own individual reasons.
At the end of the day, no one can predict the future and both invest styles are a gamble to some degree. I personally am in it for the long haul as I don't believe there is such a thing as 'get rich quick'.
