I remember talking to the service manager of one of the big dealerships and the UK cars never had a defined warranted period because they were so badly put together, Holden's were about 12 months and the Japanese cars were about three months
The workers at the time were very militant and anything was fair game
At that time I bought a new car and in the 12 months that I owned it it was in my garage for three months
I sold it to a barrister so I hope he dealt heavily with them as I couldn't
