Holden won't sell cars in Australia, page-15

    I for one will be glad when we move away from the ford v Holden battle, which has become increasingly irrelevant to the market.

    Optimally, I’d wind the clock back 30 years to when it was the Australian Touring Car Championship, when we had ford, Holden, BMW, Volvo and Mazda battling it out. British Tourning Car Championship at the time was similar, but with makes such as Peugeot competing.

    Really hope we get back to real (modified) road cars racing, rather than specialised race chassis that never saw the inside of a production car factory, with a composite shell covering it.

    Guess we’ll have to wait and see, but the current format will likely last another year or two.
