From my readings, the BPT wells are only to "test the waters" to see if a flow rate of some sort is possible.
Very good threads in ADE/BPT threads at the moment...
This is a vertical well from what I can gather and if flow rates can be given from this, well, we may be on a good thing.
Further wells would be horizontal...
Please correct me if I am wrong. I am not gas guru and I am trying to get my head around shale...
